ASTM/ASME 321H Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes are high-carbon (0.04-0.10%) titanium-stabilized austenitic (UNS S32109) products manufactured to ASTM A213/A312 standards, combining the intergranular corrosion resistance of titanium stabilization with enhanced high-temperature strength for service up to 900°C (1650°F). This controlled-carbon variant of 321 grade maintains the base alloy's chromium (17-19%) and nickel (9-12%) content while delivering improved creep resistance and structural stability in pressure vessel applications, petrochemical processing equipment, and aircraft exhaust systems where both thermal durability and weld integrity are critical. The titanium addition effectively prevents sensitization during prolonged high-temperature exposure or welding, making it particularly suitable for fabricated components requiring reliable performance in the carbide precipitation temperature range.
