This advanced duplex alloy delivers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chloride and sour environments, making it ideal for chemical processing, offshore oil/gas, and desalination applications. The controlled ferrite-austenite balance (40-60%) ensures optimal weldability and impact toughness, while the low carbon content (≤0.03%) prevents sensitization during welding. Particularly suitable for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and subsea systems where performance exceeds standard 2205 duplex grades, SUS 329J4L offers enhanced durability in acidic and high-chloride conditions with compliance to NACE MR0175 for sour service applications.
