| Nitronic 60 Pipes & Tubes (UNS S21800) are high-strength austenitic alloys with ~17% chromium, 8.5% nickel, 8% manganese, and 0.25% nitrogen, optimized for wear and corrosion resistance. Their unique composition provides tensile strength ≥1034 MPa and hardness up to 32 HRC, resisting galling, erosion, and cavitation in pump shafts, valves, and marine propellers. Compliant with ASTM A240, these pipes/tubes withstand mild acidic media and saltwater while maintaining ductility (elongation ≥25%). They outperform conventional stainless steels in high-load, abrasive applications like mining equipment and offshore oil platforms. |
