| Inconel 690 Pipes & Tubes are nickel-chromium-iron alloys (UNS N06690) optimized for exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in nuclear and chloride-rich environments. With 59% nickel, 29% chromium, and controlled carbon content, they form a dense chromium oxide layer that resists stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in boiling magnesium chloride and nuclear reactor coolants. Boasting tensile strength ≥550 MPa and oxidation resistance up to 1100°C, these pipes/tubes comply with ASTM B167/B564 and excel in steam generator tubes, reactor internals, and acid-handling equipment. Their high chromium matrix ensures durability in both acidic/alkaline media and high-temperature water systems, outperforming standard alloys in SCC-prone applications. |
