ASTM/ASME 321 Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes are titanium-stabilized austenitic (UNS S32100) products conforming to ASTM A213/A312 standards, featuring titanium addition (5×C min.) to prevent chromium carbide precipitation while maintaining the base 304 alloy's corrosion resistance (17-19% Cr, 9-12% Ni). This stabilized grade provides superior intergranular corrosion resistance in sensitization temperature ranges (425-815°C), making it particularly suitable for welded assemblies and high-temperature equipment in chemical processing, heat exchangers, and exhaust systems where prolonged exposure to corrosive media and thermal cycling occurs. The titanium stabilization allows full post-weld performance without heat treatment while retaining excellent oxidation resistance up to 900°C (1650°F) for continuous service in demanding industrial applications.
