ASTM/ASME 316Ti Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes are titanium-stabilized austenitic (UNS S31635) products conforming to ASTM A213/A312 standards, featuring titanium addition (5×C min.) to prevent chromium carbide precipitation while maintaining the base 316 alloy's corrosion resistance (16-18% Cr, 10-14% Ni, 2-3% Mo). This stabilized grade provides superior intergranular corrosion resistance in sensitization temperature ranges (425-815°C), making it particularly suitable for welded assemblies and high-temperature equipment in chemical processing, exhaust systems, and power plants where prolonged exposure to corrosive media and thermal cycling occurs. The titanium stabilization allows full post-weld performance without heat treatment while retaining all the pitting/crevice corrosion resistance of standard 316 in chloride environments.
